The mower finder

What would make a mower a good fit for your yard?

Choose the power source, drive and clipping route that matter. The optional last step is for a hard battery-kit or cutting-width requirement, not a prediction of acreage per charge.

The mowing job

Choose a requirement that would rule out a mower if it were not met.

Choose diesel only when gasoline is not an acceptable engine fuel. These are separate choices, not fuel-economy or performance promises.

Choose a walk-behind drive arrangement or a riding mower. A riding zero-turn uses a different working and clearance setup from a self-propelled walk-behind. A robotic mower has a distinct autonomous, mapped operating plan.

Named controls are not interchangeable: Personal Pace follows walking pace, and Honda Smart Drive, Select Drive and eSelect Drive are distinct. A cruise-control selection requires an exact manufacturer-listed travel-control feature; adjustable speed alone is not enough.

Choose a clipping route documented for the exact mower and setup. A supported route is not evidence that an optional attachment is included.

A conventional lawn-tractor route and zero-turn handling are different; the steering wheel on an e-STEER zero-turn does not make it a lawn tractor.

This selection distinguishes lap bars, Cub Cadet Synchro-Steer wheel controls on a zero-turn chassis, EGO e-STEER, and conventional lawn-tractor steering. A steering wheel alone does not make a zero-turn a lawn tractor.

Wire-free systems need suitable mapping/antenna setup; physical-wire systems need a carefully installed, measured perimeter route.

Select app setup and scheduling only if you want that as a hard requirement; unknown app support does not satisfy it.

This checks the maker-listed highest deck setting, not a required everyday setting. Confirm the lawn’s suitable cut height independently.

Earlier status does not establish condition, seller quality or availability. Verify exact serial number, recall status and model suffix.
