Three-way comparison

EGO LM2125SP, LM2114SP or LM2114?

These three EGO 21-inch 600-series mowers share a single-blade cutting platform, a 2-bushel bag and three clipping routes, but they do not move or ship in the same way. The practical choice is between Touch Drive, dual-toggle self-propulsion and a push-only mower—and then the battery package that comes with the exact SKU.

Start with how the mower moves

LM2125SP uses Touch Drive: palm pressure engages self-propelled travel, while a dial changes speed. It is the only Touch Drive model in this three-way comparison. EGO lists up to 60 minutes from its included 7.5 Ah battery.

LM2114SP is also self-propelled but uses dual-toggle controls that can be operated with either hand and a separate speed dial. The reviewed package contains one 6.0 Ah battery; EGO lists up to 50 minutes.

LM2114 is push-only. It has no powered drive, so the operator supplies the forward motion. Its kit also contains a 6.0 Ah battery and EGO lists up to 55 minutes. The extra five minutes over the self-propelled 6 Ah model is a manufacturer maximum, not a guarantee that the push mower will cover a larger yard. Actual time depends on grass and operating technique.

Do not choose powered drive solely because it sounds more capable. Self-propulsion can reduce pushing effort, but it does not steer for the operator or remove slope limits. Conversely, a push mower is a poor fit if the operator cannot comfortably move it on the route and terrain. A trial of handle control, where practical, may answer a more personal question than the spec sheet can.

Then compare the kit, not just the platform

The main LM2125SP kit is listed with a 7.5 Ah battery and a 550 W Rapid Charger. EGO’s product page also lists tool-only LM2120SP and two-pack kits LM2122SP-2 (two 4 Ah packs) and LM2123SP-2 (one 4 Ah and one 6 Ah), each with a Rapid Charger. The linked operator manual depicts one battery compartment. In a two-pack package, the extra pack should be treated as a charged spare rather than as two batteries working simultaneously; it is not a dual-port mower.

The LM2114SP kit pairs one 6 Ah pack with a 320 W charger. Its page also lists LM2110SP tool-only and LM2114SP-L, which adds a mower cover to the 6 Ah kit. For the push mower, LM2114 is the 6 Ah/320 W kit, LM2110 is tool-only and LM2112 includes a 4 Ah pack with a 320 W charger. A smaller pack is a real package difference, even when the cutting deck and controls are shared. Check the letters and numbers in a retail listing instead of assuming every 600-series photo depicts the kit being sold.

What the three machines share

All three reviewed kits are 21-inch battery walk-behinds with an EGO 56V ARC Lithium battery, a 6.0 ft-lb published maximum-torque figure, 2,800 rpm published blade speed, seven cutting-height settings from 1.25 to 4 inches, and a 2-bushel bag. EGO lists mulching, bagging and side discharge. The 2025 comparison chart calls the deck material “poly” and lists IPX4 weather resistance. None of that makes the deck a cast-aluminum or Super Composite model, and the 600 series is not Select Cut. If an interchangeable multi-blade system is essential, compare the EGO 800-series LM2135 family instead.

The maximum runtimes also hide meaningful conditions. The family manual gives approximate light/medium/heavy figures of 60/45/30 minutes for the 7.5 Ah Touch Drive platform, 50/40/25 for the 6 Ah self-propelled platform, and 55/40/30 for the 6 Ah push platform. The manual calls out grass condition and advises against wet grass; use the figures as context, not an acreage calculation or a promise of an exact mowing session.

Plan around clipping mode and care

A bag, mulch insert and side-discharge chute are listed for the platform, so choose a clipping route that matches how the lawn is maintained. Bagging is not proof that a separate high-lift blade is included. EGO shows the high-lift 21-inch blade as an accessory for related bare-tool configurations; the exact kit tables do not establish that blade in the LM2125SP, LM2114SP or LM2114 carton. If it is essential, confirm inclusion with the exact seller package rather than matching on compatibility alone.

The linked manual covers base tool codes LM2120SP, LM2110SP and LM2110, with -FC variants; it does not list the three kit codes in this comparison on the cover. Its family safety guidance says not to mow slopes greater than 15 degrees, avoid wet grass, remove the battery before cleaning or service, and keep water away from the motor fan. Confirm the manual supplied with the exact mower. For ordinary shopping, the comparison is simple: choose the drive control first, pack capacity second, and only then decide whether a different EGO series with Select Cut or a wider deck better suits the route and routine.
