Mowing routine
Choose between mulching, bagging and side discharge
Mulch for a fine return, in suitable conditions
Mulching keeps clippings in the cutting chamber for further cutting before they return to the lawn. Use the supplied or manufacturer-approved mulch configuration and follow the manual for grass height, dryness and blade choice. Wet or overgrown grass can produce a different result and may clog the deck.
Bag when you need to collect
A grass bag removes clippings from the lawn, but fills as you mow and must be emptied. Capacity describes volume, not how much area it holds in every grass condition. Confirm that the bag comes with the exact package and that the bagging route and any required blade are described for that model.
Side discharge for long or heavy passes
Side discharge directs cut material out through a chute. It may be useful when the clipping load is too much for repeated mulching, but discharge direction matters near paths, windows, gardens and people. Use only the supplied safety components and observe the manual's warnings about thrown objects.
These are alternate operating setups
Changing from bagging to mulching is not the same as running both at once. Check which plug, bag or chute is installed for each mode, switch off and remove the battery before cleaning or handling cutting components, and wait for the blade to stop. Product pages sometimes summarize functions without making every box item equally clear; the exact manual and package list matter.
