Exact-package comparison

Toro 21466 or 21467T? Compare the 22-inch Personal Pace kits

Toro 21466 and 21467T are both 22-inch, 60V Recycler walk-behind mowers with Personal Pace rear-wheel drive. Their names look like small package variations, but the buying decision is substantial: 21466 is the battery-and-charger kit; 21467T is explicitly a bare tool. They also have separately specified steel-deck gauges and different manuals. Compare the exact model suffix and serial-number record instead of treating one mower review as a complete description of both.

What arrives in the package?

Toro lists one 6.0 Ah L324 battery, charger model 88602, grass bag, mower and manual with 21466. Its operator manual identifies the included battery and charger for that model. The current 21467T page says battery not included, lists no battery and no charger, and its 3444-712 manual states the bare tool does not include either. Toro recommends compatible Flex-Force 60V batteries for the 21467T, but the person choosing it must already have the right battery and charger or obtain them separately.

This distinction changes how to compare cost and runtime without guessing about price or condition. If you are entering Toro’s 60V platform, use the 21466 kit package to see the complete listed configuration. If a compatible Toro battery and charger already live in the garage, 21467T may avoid duplicating them. A used listing can of course be missing a piece that the new kit normally includes, so ask for photos of the actual battery label, charger label, bag and mower model plate rather than relying on a generic title.

Shared controls, different deck specifications

Both official product pages identify the 22-inch Recycler deck and Personal Pace self-propel. The operator manuals describe the pace-matching travel system and the bag-on-demand route between bagging and mulching. Their broad mowing role is similar, but the exact product pages do not specify the same deck gauge: the current 21466 page says 14-gauge steel; 21467T says 15-gauge steel. Keep those manufacturer specifications attached to their own model codes. They are not a basis for an unsupported claim about measured cut quality or durability.

The included 1.8-bushel grass bag is listed for both configurations. Side discharge is a separate detail: Toro says the chute is not in the box and may be requested after registration. The mower can use that route once the chute is obtained, but the mode description is not evidence that the chute is in a new or used carton. Both pages list a 1–4-inch cutting range, while the 21467T feature copy specifies nine cutting positions. Toro describes SmartStow upright storage; the manuals require removing the battery and start button first, setting the cutting height to 3-5/8 inches or less, and routing the folding-handle cables correctly.

Battery claims and manuals are not interchangeable

The 21466 kit page gives up to 40 minutes with its included 6.0 Ah pack. Toro’s same page couples the claim with up to one-third acre in feature copy but lists up to one-half acre in its yard-size field. Since those area statements disagree, do not turn them into an expected mowing result. The 21467T has no exact included battery; runtime depends on the chosen compatible pack and the conditions, so the tool-only configuration has no kit-level runtime or area estimate here.

Use the manual that matches both model and serial. The 21467T manual, Form 3444-712 Rev D, identifies that model from serial 400000000 onward. The 21466 manual, Form 3445-773 Rev B, identifies model 21466 from serial 409400000 and upward; Toro lists other serial blocks with separate manual records. The manual boundary matters when you identify an older mower, order parts or follow a storage/setup instruction.

Both are walk-behind machines, not a solution for an inaccessible route or an insistence on a guaranteed large-area cut in one charge. Measure the full assembled mower against gates and storage; Toro lists a 23-inch assembled width for each page. Check your exact pack, chute, blade and serial details before comparing a specific offer. For the single-model assessments, see the 21466 kit review and 21467T tool-only review.
