Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Is LM2000 an operator-pushed 20-inch mower rather than a self-propelled one?
The exact EGO 20-inch page calls this a “push mower”; the operator supplies forward motion, and powered travel is not listed.
Explore this need in the finder →What battery and charger are in the exact LM2000 package?
LM2000 is listed mower-only. Battery and charger are not included; no battery capacity is assigned to this exact SKU.
Explore this need in the finder →Can LM2000 be set up for bagging, mulching or side discharge?
EGO’s page identifies mulching, rear bagging and side discharge as 3-in-1 routes for the 20-inch mower. These are separate setups; the exact kit image does not establish which removable bag/insert/chute parts remain with a used carton.
Explore this need in the finder →Is LM2000 eligible for a current buying recommendation?
Exact page says Coming Soon and shows a mower-only bare tool; current availability and sale status are not established. Reference only; no purchase recommendation.
The EGO LM2000 is the bare-tool configuration of the older Power+ 20-inch push mower. EGO’s page lists no battery or charger in this exact package and labels it “Coming Soon”; it does not establish current availability. The model remains useful as a reference for identifying an older mower or comparing a used listing, but it is not a current buying recommendation. Do not confuse LM2000 with LM2000-S: EGO’s own parts list treats those as separate model numbers and body numbers.
A push mower for a route where the operator supplies the drive
The 20-inch product page describes this machine as a push mower, not a self-propelled unit. You provide all forward motion. That favors a yard where a narrower cutting path and simple walk-behind steering matter more than powered assistance. Measure the complete mower against gates, turns, storage doors and the space needed to fold and move it; a 20-inch cutting width is not the machine’s full outside width. A wider mower may reduce passes, but it will not help if it cannot reach the lawn or turn at its narrowest point.
EGO describes a three-route clipping setup—mulching, rear bagging and side discharge—so a shopper can choose among three separate mowing arrangements. Those modes are alternatives, not simultaneous outputs. The exact LM2000 row says “mower only” and excludes the battery and charger. Its product image depicts the mower alone. The image should not be read as evidence that a seller’s carton contains a grass bag, mulch insert, side-discharge chute or spare blade; check the physical package and the model-specific parts list before relying on any of those pieces.
Plan for a separate battery and charging routine
LM2000 is a 56-volt EGO battery-platform mower. EGO says its 20-inch mower can use EGO ARC Lithium batteries, which are available separately, and the page’s FAQ says EGO chargers and packs are interchangeable across the range. That is useful if a household already owns compatible EGO equipment, but “bare tool” still means there is no battery or charger in the LM2000 package. Count a required pack and charger as separate costs and make sure the actual pack and charger are compatible with the exact machine label.
The 20-inch page advertises at least 45 minutes of cutting with a 4.0 Ah battery or higher. That is a manufacturer family-page statement, not a measured result for an LM2000 on a particular lawn, not a maximum-runtime figure and not an area-per-charge guarantee. Grass height, moisture, density, cut height, pace and the battery chosen change the work completed. The page also describes a 600-watt high-torque magnetic motor, 3300 rpm, LED lights, fold-flat storage and IPX4 weather-resistant construction. Those are page claims, not independent tests. IPX4 is not permission to hose the mower or leave it exposed outdoors.
Keep the older model’s manual and parts evidence separate
The manual currently linked from EGO’s 20-inch page has LM2000-S/LM2000-S-FC on its cover. EGO’s service-parts list separately names LM2000 and LM2000-S, with different body numbers. That distinction matters: the later manual’s five height positions, 1.2–3.5-inch range, bag volume and weight basis should not be copied onto the earlier LM2000. Before assembly, blade service or slope decisions, use instructions that match the model number on the mower’s own label, not only the battery-kit code or a retailer title. EGO’s general 20-inch page advises removing the safety key and battery before cleaning and not spraying the underside with a hose; follow the exact operator manual for all further safety and maintenance limits.
There is no published deck material, mower weight, cutting-height range, bag capacity or exact runtime table for LM2000 in the sources used here. Its body image cannot establish whether the deck is steel or plastic. The page’s clipping-mode list does not prove that every loose accessory is present in a used carton, and a separate high-lift blade should not be assumed to be included. If any of these are essential, treat the requirement as unconfirmed until the exact mower and package are checked.
What to compare instead
If the goal is a current 20-inch EGO mower, compare the push-only, steel-deck LM2021 and the self-propelled LM2022SP; they are different machines, not renamed LM2000s. If a battery-and-charger kit matters in a narrower 21-inch format, the LM2101 is a separate push-mower package. Each alternative has its own product page and package facts. The LM2000 assessment is best used to decode an old bare-tool listing and to avoid transferring the later LM2000-S manual or newer model features to the wrong code.

| Reviewed package | LM2000 is listed mower-only. Battery and charger are not included; no battery capacity is assigned to this exact SKU. EGO’s exact bare-tool row says “Coming Soon” and lists no battery or charger; it does not show an orderable current configuration or a discontinued notice. It is retained as reference-only rather than presented as currently buyable. EGO shows “Coming Soon”; discontinued status is not explicitly shown for this exact row. |
