Reference only: EGO’s 20-inch page lists the exact LM2002-P configuration but marks it Coming Soon; it is not offered here as a current purchase option. Verify the mower label, package contents and matching operator manual. The included charger type is disputed; verify its physical model label.

A useful fit for

A reference for the discontinued LM2002-P 20-inch push kit with the listed 5.0 Ah battery; it suits an operator-pushed arrangement only, but is not a current buying recommendation.

The main tradeoff

EGO labels exact LM2002-P discontinued and Coming Soon. Reference only; do not recommend it for current purchase. Charger type remains unresolved. Deck material, cut-height range, bag capacity, weight and exact runtime are not established for this older code. The charger type is unresolved.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Is LM2002-P an operator-pushed 20-inch mower rather than a self-propelled one?

The exact EGO 20-inch page calls this a “push mower”; the operator supplies forward motion, and powered travel is not listed.

What battery and charger are in the exact LM2002-P package?

EGO lists a mower with one 5.0 Ah battery and a charger. The selector labels the charger Rapid, while an exact-code product listing labels it Standard; charger type remains unknown pending the exact carton/charger label.

Explore this need in the finder →
Can LM2002-P be set up for bagging, mulching or side discharge?

EGO’s page identifies mulching, rear bagging and side discharge as 3-in-1 routes for the 20-inch mower. These are separate setups; the exact kit image does not establish which removable bag/insert/chute parts remain with a used carton.

Is LM2002-P eligible for a current buying recommendation?

EGO labels exact LM2002-P discontinued and Coming Soon. Reference only; do not recommend it for current purchase. Charger type remains unresolved.

The EGO LM2002-P is the 5.0 Ah version of the older 20-inch push-mower kit, but its charger description needs care. EGO’s current 20-inch configuration selector says that LM2002-P includes a 5.0 Ah battery and a Rapid Charger. An exact-model retailer listing labels the same SKU with a standard charger, and the manufacturer’s LM2002-P kit image shows a different charger render from the LM2002 picture. The exact charger type is therefore not treated here as settled. EGO also marks the configuration discontinued and “Coming Soon,” so this page is for identification and comparison, not a current purchase recommendation.

What is clear about the package

The exact EGO row identifies LM2002-P as a mower-with-battery-and-charger package and names the included battery as 5.0 Ah. That is the central distinction from the mower-only LM2000 and from LM2001’s 4.0 Ah or LM2001-X’s 7.5 Ah packages. The charger is part of the kit, but its type is uncertain across the available code-specific descriptions. If evaluating an old mower, request a clear picture of the actual charger label and carton, not just an image of the mower. The kit code does not establish that the battery remains healthy or that all package contents are still there.

Because the page lists the 20-inch body as compatible with EGO ARC Lithium batteries, an existing EGO owner may compare the included pack with the equipment already on hand. A spare battery has value only if the pack and charger are in usable condition and are compatible with the exact mower. The family page’s phrase “at least a 45-minute cut time” applies with a 4.0 Ah or higher battery; it is not an exact LM2002-P maximum, independent test result or area-per-charge promise. A 5.0 Ah label cannot tell you how much lawn a used battery will cut today.

Push-only mowing, width and setup

EGO describes the 20-inch unit as a push mower, so the operator supplies all forward movement. It is not a fit if powered drive is an essential need. The same family page lists mulching, rear bagging and side discharge as separate clipping choices. Each pass uses one setup; do not assume that all three accessories are in an old LM2002-P carton just because the mower page describes the three modes. The kit render shows mower, battery and charger, not a complete assortment of bagging parts.

A 20-inch cutting path can make sense where the route to the lawn is tight, but it does not define the mower’s exterior width, its turning circle or the space needed to store it. The EGO page also lists fold-flat storage, LED lights, IPX4 weather-resistant construction and a 600-watt high-torque magnetic motor at 3300 rpm. Those are manufacturer descriptions for the 20-inch family, not comparative tests or a guarantee for an old machine. The page advises removing the safety key and battery before cleaning and says not to spray the underside with water; a weather-resistance label is not permission to wash it with a hose.

Keep the body manual separate from the kit code

EGO’s linked 20-inch operator manual names LM2000-S/LM2000-S-FC on its cover. The separate service-parts list identifies LM2000 and LM2000-S as different model/body numbers. The exact LM2002-P bundle is not named on that manual cover, so I do not transfer the later S version’s cut heights, bag volume or weight to this kit. Check the mower’s own model plate and use the matching manual before setting height, working on a slope or replacing parts. The exact package row establishes the kit battery; it does not establish this body’s deck material, weight, bag capacity, height range, runtime maximum or included high-lift blade.

For the charger question in particular, do not trust a shorthand seller title when the code-specific sources diverge. EGO’s selector says Rapid; an exact-model dealer page says standard. For an existing mower, the physical charger model number resolves the uncertainty. For a prospective purchase, the model is discontinued and a current used-carton claim needs its own evidence. Compare the LM2002 kit if you want the same listed 5.0 Ah capacity with EGO’s currently displayed Rapid label; compare LM2001 or LM2001-X for the smaller or larger package battery. If you want a current 20-inch model instead of a legacy kit, the LM2021 and LM2022SP are separate products with their own features and package facts.
