It is most plausible for someone who already owns a compatible EGO 56V pack and charger and wants powered forward travel without paying for another kit. It is not an all-in-one first mower, and “self-propelled” does not mean autonomous mowing or that the mower steers itself.

Identify the older control system

The model number is unusually helpful here. EGO's exact family manual lists LM2100SP-FC and describes a self-propel trigger plus a separate speed-control lever. The trigger engages or releases drive, while the lever changes travel speed; the published range is about 0.9 to 3.1 mph. This differs from the push-only LM2100-FC and from EGO's later Touch Drive palm-control mowers. If you have a firm handle-control preference, choose that directly in the finder rather than assuming all self-propelled 21-inch EGO machines use the same grip.

Self-propel reduces the need to push the machine forward, but it does not remove steering, turning, lifting over thresholds or clearing obstacles. The manual's weight is 62.61 pounds without a battery and with the mulch insert, compared with 55.34 pounds for the push LM2100/LM2100-FC. That extra weight may matter when carrying or maneuvering the mower even if its drive helps on a straight pass. Measure gates and the storage route using the full mower, not only its 21-inch cutting width.

Runtime is a battery-dependent estimate

EGO's manual breaks the estimate down to roughly 60 minutes in light load, 45 in medium and 30 in heavy load. It cautions that grass species, density and moisture alter the result. Those figures help explain why a thick, tall lawn may use a pack sooner; they are not an area-per-charge rating. The exact LM2100SP-FC carton includes zero batteries and no charger, so an owner without both must budget for the power source as well as the mower.

The seller assigns this reconditioned configuration a one-year limited tool warranty, consistent with EGO's one-year consumer category for reconditioned or Factory-Certified products.
