Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Do you want a push-only mower rather than powered walking assistance?
LM2130 is listed as a push mower; the operator supplies its forward movement. Choose a Touch Drive or another self-propelled model if that assistance is essential.
Explore this need in the finder →Must at least one battery pack arrive with the mower?
LM2130 does not fit that package need. EGO identifies it as tool-only with neither battery nor charger included.
Explore this need in the finder →Is a 21-inch cutting-width minimum required?
The exact LM2130 family is a 21-inch mower. It meets a 21-inch minimum, not a 22-inch minimum.
Explore this need in the finder →Do you require a poly deck with a bagging arrangement?
EGO's US catalog lists the LM2130 family as poly, and the product page/manual support bagging with the appropriate setup. High-lift blade inclusion is not treated as certain for the current package.
Explore this need in the finder →The EGO LM2130 is the tool-only version of a 21-inch Select Cut push mower. “Push” is the practical dividing line: the mower does not provide powered self-propelled travel, and the exact LM2130 configuration row says that a battery and charger are not included. This is a sensible package only if you already have a compatible EGO 56V battery and charger or have separately planned for them.
What the operator supplies
EGO describes the LM2130 as a cordless push mower that is compatible with its 56V ARC Lithium batteries. The bare-tool listing excludes both battery and charger. That matters more than the fact that an image shows a complete mower: the mower cannot cut until a compatible charged pack is supplied. If you want the mower and battery in one box, the current page separately lists LM2133 with a 5.0 Ah pack and Rapid Charger, and LM2135 with a 7.5 Ah pack and Rapid Charger. Those are different purchase configurations, not alternate names for LM2130.
The 21-inch deck is a reasonable middle size for lawns where a walk-behind makes sense, but width alone does not tell you whether it will pass through a gate or fit in the shed. Check the folded handle and your whole path through doors, turns and storage. The manual lists a weight of 50.3 pounds without the battery and with the mulch insert. A battery adds to the weight you lift into storage.
Push operation and selectable clipping paths
LM2130 uses operator-powered movement. If you require the mower to propel itself on repeated long walks or a sustained slope, this is not the version to choose; compare an exact self-propelled model such as LM2130SP or the battery-included LM2135SP. The difference should also change a finder answer: selecting push-only travel keeps LM2130 eligible, while requiring self-propelled movement rejects it.
EGO’s current product page describes three clipping choices—mulch, bag and side-discharge—and a two-bushel collection bag. It identifies an interchangeable Select Cut blade system and lists the mulching blade, extended-runtime blade and upper blade as included. The linked manual’s LM2130 packing table names the mulch insert, bag and frame, side-discharge chute, extended-runtime lower blade and high-lift bagging lower blade. The two sources do not present the lower-blade package identically: if a particular lower blade is essential, confirm it in the exact carton rather than relying on a nearby retailer photo. The operating modes also require changing the mower’s setup; the machine does not mulch, bag and discharge through different attachments at the same time.
Runtime is conditional on a battery you buy separately
The current EGO product page advertises up to 65 minutes with a 7.5 Ah battery. That is not the LM2130 carton’s runtime because the exact tool-only configuration contains no battery. The linked LM2130-family manual’s table gives approximate times for a BA2800T/BA2800T-FC pack of 45 minutes at light load, 35 at medium load and 20 at heavy load. EGO’s US catalog separately listed up to 45 minutes with a 5.0 Ah pack and up to 60 with a 7.5 Ah pack for the LM2130/LM2133 family. These figures have different batteries and load conditions; none is a dependable acreage promise. Grass height, moisture, density, blade choice, battery condition and pace change the work completed.
The product is part of EGO’s 56V battery system, so it can make sense for a household already charging that platform. Do not confuse compatibility with what is included. If an included-battery minimum is important, LM2130 should fail that requirement; the LM2133 or LM2135 kit is the more relevant starting point. If your requirement is a 7.5 Ah pack, the product page lists that package separately as LM2135.
Height adjustment, storage and care
The linked manual names LM2130 on its cover and lists eight cutting-height positions from 1 to 4 inches. EGO’s current page lists eight positions in its specifications, although a promotional paragraph on the same page says seven. The documented range is clear, but if the number of stops is important to you, inspect the exact mower and manual instructions rather than treating the page’s marketing block as a consistent specification. The deck is identified as poly in EGO’s US product catalog for the LM2130/LM2133 family; it is not a metal deck.
The manual says not to mow wet grass or slopes steeper than 15 degrees. Before clearing, cleaning or changing the bag or chute, stop the mower, wait for the blade to stop completely, and remove the battery. For cleaning, the manual warns against water on the motor fan and recommends wiping the mower with a damp cloth. IPX4 weather resistance is not a cleaning instruction or permission to hose the mower down.
Who should buy the bare tool?
Consider LM2130 if you want a 21-inch push mower, already have compatible EGO batteries and a charger, and value the Select Cut system’s different clipping arrangements. It also keeps a package-search question simple: this model is the mower without a new battery or charger. Pass if you need powered travel, a complete battery kit, a wider deck or a riding format. A tool-only mower is not a complete battery-powered setup for someone starting from zero.
For a complete push-mower carton, compare LM2133’s included 5.0 Ah battery and Rapid Charger with LM2135’s 7.5 Ah kit; do not treat either battery as a guaranteed lawn-size rating. If self-propelled travel is essential, the related LM2130SP is the Touch Drive version, with its own tool-only package and manual-specific operating details. Verify the exact suffix at checkout: LM2130, LM2133, LM2135 and LM2130SP identify meaningfully different travel or battery-package choices.
