EGO 21-inch Select Cut push mower kit, reconditioned review

LM2135-FC is an Acme U.S. reconditioned kit listing for a 21-inch EGO Select Cut push mower. Its exact product page identifies the retailer SKU as LM2135-FC, but the package-contents line identifies the mower itself as LM2130-FC and lists a 7.5 Ah battery, Rapid Charger and bag kit. That distinction matters: this is not the bare-tool LM2130-FC listing, and it is not the ordinary new LM2135 carton just because the retail title uses that family name. The practical appeal is a push-only mower with one supplied pack and charger; the important checks are refurbished-unit terms, exact accessories and a conflicting cut-height description.

Push operation and a 21-inch deck

This is a walk-behind mower that the operator pushes. EGO’s U.S. Select Cut page describes the related 21-inch push platform, while the linked manual explicitly names LM2130-FC among the covered models and labels the self-propel system “No” for that body. If you want the mower to drive itself on hills or long passes, do not treat this kit as the self-propelled LM2135SP or LM2135SP-FC. A 21-inch deck gives a useful middle ground for ordinary paths and lawn sections, but width alone says nothing reliable about how many minutes or acres one battery will cover.

The package changes the ownership decision

Acme’s exact SKU page lists one 56V 7.5 Ah ARC Lithium battery, model BA4200T, a CH5500 Rapid Charger and a bag kit. That makes this package more immediately usable than the reconditioned LM2130-FC bare tool, which has no battery or charger. EGO lists the same general 21-inch push family with a 7.5 Ah kit configuration and says the mower is compatible with its 56V ARC Lithium platform. The exact retailer page publishes up to 65 minutes with a 7.5 Ah pack. Treat that as a conditional maximum, not a promise for a particular lawn, battery history or refurbished unit.

The seller lists the condition as refurbished and calls the item “Factory Certified,” with a one-year limited warranty. Those are the seller’s terms for this exact package, not a report about the cosmetic condition, repair history or remaining life of an individual battery. Read the actual warranty and return terms for the unit offered. EGO’s standard LM2135 configuration has a different factory package and manufacturer warranty listing; do not assume those longer standard-model terms carry over to this reconditioned SKU.

Select Cut, bagging and the blade question

EGO describes Select Cut as a system that can use different lower blades, and the 21-inch platform supports mulching, bagging and side discharge. The exact seller page confirms the bag kit, and the EGO family documentation describes a two-bushel collection bag. Acme’s included-items line names the mulching blade, Extended Runtime blade and upper blade. Its broader description discusses a high-lift bagging blade as part of the system, but does not list that blade among the exact kit contents. The LM2130-FC manual’s package table also does not mark the high-lift lower blade as included. If that specific blade is essential, treat it as absent or unconfirmed and verify the carton or budget for the correct separate part; do not read a feature description as proof of an included accessory.

The exact listing is clearest about the bag kit. It advertises three clipping routes, but its package list does not separately itemize the mulch insert or side-discharge chute. The mower body supports those modes, yet someone who needs every attachment in the box should confirm those pieces before buying. In matching terms, bagging is the defensible ready-to-use plan for this listing; other routes depend on confirming the needed attachments.

Do not rely on a guessed cutting-height range

Acme’s exact LM2135-FC page says seven height positions from 1.5 to 4 inches. EGO’s page for the 21-inch Select Cut push family lists eight positions from 1 to 4 inches, and even that page’s promotional copy uses inconsistent wording about the number of settings. The linked operator manual also covers LM2130-FC but is not a refurbished-carton inspection. Because the exact-source claims do not agree, a buyer with a precise minimum-height requirement should ask the seller or inspect the specific unit rather than rely on a guessed setting count. This uncertainty is kept out of hard questionnaire matches.

The manual is worth reading before assembly and use. It describes a 56V cordless mower, advises against mowing wet grass or slopes above 15 degrees, and instructs the operator to remove the battery before cleaning or clearing the deck. Those are operating limits, not evidence that the mower is suitable for a particular property; assess your own slope, obstacles and storage space separately.

Who should compare it with another EGO

LM2135-FC is most relevant if you want a push mower, need a battery and charger in the same package, are comfortable with the seller’s reconditioned terms and can confirm the attachments you expect. Compare the standard LM2135 if you want a new kit and its standard warranty terms. Compare LM2130-FC if you already own a compatible battery and charger and prefer a bare-tool listing. Choose the self-propelled LM2135SP family only if powered walking assistance is essential. These are separate configurations; battery capacity, drive, condition and carton contents should not be collapsed into a single “21-inch Select Cut” label.

Acme’s page showed the exact SKU out of stock when checked on October 25, 2026. Availability can change, and an out-of-stock observation is not a product recommendation or exclusion. Before ordering any reconditioned package, confirm the exact code, battery/charger, bag and any additional attachments in the seller’s current cart description.
