A useful fit for

A narrower-cut, operator-pushed battery mower to consider for a homeowner who has a compatible Greenworks 40V tool set or wants the included 5.0Ah starter kit and does not require a documented collection bag or self-propel drive.

The main tradeoff

The exact page only documents mulch and side discharge, and its 35-minute/quarter-acre figures are manufacturer ceilings. Product-page and manual weight figures conflict, as do two published lower cutting-height values.

The Greenworks LM1934 is a 19-inch, 40V push mower sold as a battery-and-charger kit. It is the narrower of the two Greenworks 40V walk-behinds reviewed here, and the simpler choice if you want a compact cutting path and do not require grass collection. Its smaller deck does not make it effortless to maneuver or prove that it will fit through a particular gate: measure the mower at its widest point, including wheels and handle, before ordering.

A real 5.0 Ah kit, with a modest maximum claim

The exact Greenworks page identifies LM1934 and SKU 2539602, and lists one 40V 5.0 Ah battery and a 2A charger in the package. Greenworks advertises up to 35 minutes of runtime and up to a quarter-acre of mowing with the included pack, and estimates 150 minutes to recharge it. Those are the manufacturer's maximum figures, not a guarantee that this mower will finish a quarter-acre on your lawn. Tall or dense grass, a low cutting setting, frequent turns and repeated starts all change the work done per charge. The charger estimate also means a discharged pack is not a quick turnaround if you planned to mow again immediately.

Greenworks says the 40V battery family works across its 40V tools, but its page specifically warns that an 8 Ah pack will not allow this mower's battery cover to close. Do not assume every pack bearing the voltage label is equally practical in this body. Check the battery model and its fit in the mower rather than treating amp-hours as the whole compatibility question. The included 5 Ah battery removes the need to assemble a starter kit yourself, but does not turn the mower's runtime claim into an area guarantee.

Mulch or discharge, not the documented bagging choice

The LM1934 is listed as a 2-in-1 mower: mulching and side discharge. The linked manual identifies the exact platform codes LMF465 and MO40L510, lists the side-discharge chute in its packing list and describes those two operating modes. Greenworks does not list bagging as a supported mode for this exact page. If you routinely collect clippings, leaves or seed heads, the 21-inch LM2104 is the more appropriate Greenworks comparison: its page explicitly lists a rear collection bag and 3-in-1 capability. A separate bag offered for another Greenworks mower is not proof that it fits LM1934.

A 19-inch deck can be appealing when the lawn has small planting beds or a winding route where a narrower cut helps. It also means more overlapping passes than a wider deck across an open rectangle. The mower is operator-propelled; it has no powered drive, so the person mowing supplies all forward movement. Its manual describes a single-lever seven-position height adjustment and a maximum blade speed of 3,300 rpm. The manual gives a 1¼–3¾-inch range; Greenworks' feature copy also gives 1⅜ inches as the low position, so I would not choose this mower on a precise minimum-height requirement without confirming the current documentation supplied with the exact unit.

Check the mass and the whole storage route

There is a material source conflict on weight. The exact product page says 37 pounds, while the linked manual's technical table says 40.3 pounds without the battery. Greenworks does not reconcile those figures. Because the difference matters when lifting into a vehicle or carrying into a shed, the matching profile leaves exact weight unknown rather than selecting the more convenient value. The page lists 7-inch front and 10-inch rear wheels; wheel size alone does not establish how easy the mower will feel over your grass or across a curb.

Greenworks describes folding handles and says folding can reduce storage volume by up to 70 percent. That does not mean the folded machine will hang safely or fit in every narrow closet. Allow space for the battery and charger too, and follow the manual's storage position and locking steps. The exact page lists a three-year limited warranty for the tool and battery. Warranty coverage is not a substitute for checking what your seller is actually shipping if a marketplace listing combines several Greenworks mower codes.

Keep the manual's limits in the routine

The 19-inch manual says not to mow slopes steeper than 15 degrees, not to cut wet grass, and to remove the battery before adjustments, accessory changes, storage or service. It also says to clean the mower with a dry cloth rather than washing it with water. That is a useful ownership difference from gas equipment, not a maintenance-free claim: the blade still needs inspection and sharpening or replacement, and grass buildup still needs attention. The manual's slope warning and dry-grass instruction are more useful planning limits than a broad marketing statement that the motor can tackle a tough yard.

Consider LM1934 if a 19-inch push mower, included 5.0 Ah battery and charger, and mulch-or-side-discharge routine match your yard. Look elsewhere if bagging or powered drive is essential, if the mower must pass a measured opening smaller than its real outer width, or if your choice depends on a precise transport weight or lowest cutting height. Compare the LM2104 for a wider 21-inch cut and documented bagging; also compare other models if the slower 150-minute charge estimate is incompatible with your schedule.
