A useful fit for

A push-only 21-inch mower kit for a homeowner who wants a supplied 5.0Ah pack and charger and values the documented option to collect clippings in the included rear bag.

The main tradeoff

A wider deck needs clearance at gates and tight turns, and the 45-minute/one-third-acre values are manufacturer maximum claims. Product-page and manual weights conflict; do not use one number as a transport threshold.

The Greenworks LM2104 is a 21-inch, 40V brushless push mower kit with a 5.0 Ah battery, charger and rear collection bag. It sits a step wider than the 19-inch LM1934 and adds an explicitly documented third clipping route: bagging. The mower is still operator-propelled. A larger deck and a collection bag do not make it self-propelled, and the extra width is useful only where the full machine can turn and pass through the yard's access points.

What is in the LM2104 kit?

The manufacturer identifies the exact Greenworks retail code as LM2104, SKU 2515502, and model LMF413. Its product page lists one 5.0 Ah USB battery, a charger, and a grass collection bag. The linked manual cover names LMF413 and MO40L01; its diagrams and instructions describe the mower, grass catcher, mulch plug and side-discharge chute, while Greenworks' product page spells out the package bag and the supported 3-in-1 modes. The battery compartment holds one operating pack and also has a separate storage space. Greenworks warns that an 8 Ah battery will not let the battery cover close on this mower, so check physical fit rather than assuming all Greenworks 40V packs work equally well in the kit.

The page claims up to 45 minutes with the included pack, up to one-third acre, and 150 minutes per battery to recharge. Treat the time and area as manufacturer maxima, not measured performance or a promise for a particular lawn. Grass height, thickness, moisture, cutting height, turns and stop-start work matter. Although this is a 21-inch mower, the 5 Ah battery and a long recharge time still make a spare compatible pack or a different mowing schedule relevant to larger or more demanding yards.

Bagging adds a genuine option, with upkeep

Greenworks labels LM2104 a 3-in-1 mower for mulch, rear bagging and side discharge, and its exact kit page lists the grass bag. The bag is useful when you want to collect clippings rather than leave them on the lawn, but collection adds an emptying task and the filled bag adds carried material. Greenworks' care guidance says to empty the bag after use and clean clippings from the rear opening, side-discharge area and underside. It advises wiping the deck with a cloth or using a scraper for stuck debris, not washing the mower with water.

The operator manual gives seven height adjustments from 1⅜ to 3¾ inches and a no-load blade speed of 2,800 rpm. The product table rounds the range to 1.4–3.7 inches; these values are close but not identical, so consult the manual included with the mower if an exact cut height is critical. The manual also sets a 15-degree maximum slope and says not to mow wet grass. It requires the safety key and battery to be removed before maintenance. These are practical boundaries: neither a powerful-sounding motor claim nor a large wheel makes a steep, slippery or wet lawn an appropriate job for this machine.

Do not rely on one weight figure

The product page lists a product weight of 58 pounds, but the manual states 61.46 pounds without a battery pack. Greenworks does not explain the difference. Because the manual's bare-mower figure is heavier than the page figure that may represent the delivered configuration, exact comparison or lifting advice based on one number would be misleading. The review and finder therefore leave weight unknown. If you plan to lift the mower into a car or carry it up steps, confirm the exact shipping and operating weight with Greenworks or your seller before choosing it.

The 21-inch deck means fewer passes than a 19-inch mower across a clear lawn, but the actual machine is wider than its cutting width once wheels and other protrusions are considered. Greenworks lists 8-inch front and 10-inch rear wheels. Measure the narrowest gate, path and storage opening, and leave room to turn with a bag attached. The folding handle can reduce storage bulk, but its maximum advertised reduction is not a guarantee of the dimensions of a particular folded setup.

Who should shortlist it?

LM2104 suits a homeowner who wants a push-only mower, wants the included 5.0 Ah pack and charger, and values having a bagging option as well as mulching or side discharge. Its manufacturer's runtime and area ceilings are more generous than the LM1934's listed ceilings, but they still should not decide whether it will finish your lawn in one charge. Keep your actual lawn conditions in the equation.

It is not the right answer if you need self-propelled movement, a second battery in the carton, an exact verified weight, or a deck narrower than the LM1934. If you do not bag, the LM1934 may be a more compact 2-in-1 alternative with the same nominal included battery capacity; if you do bag, this model's exact package evidence is stronger. Compare the handling route and charger schedule before treating the extra two inches as an automatic upgrade.
