Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Would self-propelled travel be necessary for your yard?
The open-box LM2118S exact page and linked manual identify a drive lever; this is not the push-only LM2118 model.
Explore this need in the finder →Must the exact package include at least two batteries?
The SKU2544502-OB page lists separate 4Ah and 2Ah packs; it is reference-only because of open-box condition/warranty uncertainty.
Explore this need in the finder →Is a 2Ah minimum for each included pack adequate?
One supplied pack is 2Ah and the other is 4Ah; this does not make a single 6Ah battery. The configuration is reference-only.
Explore this need in the finder →Must this be a push-only mower with a 21-inch bagging plan?
The LM2118S has a self-propel drive lever rather than push-only travel. Bagging is documented, but this reference configuration does not meet a push-only requirement.
Explore this need in the finder →Do you require an exact 21-inch or wider self-propelled mower with two packs?
Page lists a 21-inch self-propelled mower with 4Ah and 2Ah packs, but open-box warranty terms conflict; this item stays out of buying matches.
Explore this need in the finder →Must the product be a standard-condition model rather than open box?
The exact SKU is explicitly offered as Open Box with alternate packaging, not as a standard sealed package; its matching lifecycle is reference-only.
Explore this need in the finder →This is the open-box LM2118S package, not the LM2118
The inspected Greenworks U.S. page calls this configuration “OPEN BOX 80V 21-inch Cordless Battery 4-in-1 Self-Propelled Lawn Mower,” labels it LM2118S and lists SKU 2544502-OB. The page says the item is new and unused, moved to alternate packaging after damage to the original box, and inspected and tested. Its exact bundle is described as one 4.0Ah and one 2.0Ah 80V battery, a 4A rapid charger, a high-lift blade, grass catcher and owner’s manual. That is a different package and travel format from LM2118, SKU 2541202, whose page is for a push mower with one 4Ah battery. Do not rely on the shared “2118” digits to identify the right mower.
LM2118S is described as self-propelled, with dual battery ports and automatic switch-over. Its linked short operator manual’s cover prints model code MO80L06, and the operation pages show a dedicated drive lever and speed control. The manual tells the owner to use the mower across slopes, not up or down, not on wet grass, and not on slopes greater than 15 degrees. The specified 21-inch deck and 1⅜-to-4-inch height range make the form recognizable, but confirm that the code on the delivered mower matches the manual before service or replacement-part work.
Two packs are useful only when you want this kind of package
Unlike the LM2118 push kit, the LM2118S listing names two actual packs in the box: 4Ah and 2Ah. Greenworks claims up to 60 minutes and up to three-quarters of an acre with the included batteries, with stated recharge times of 60 minutes for the 4Ah and 30 minutes for the 2Ah pack. Those are manufacturer claims, not a promise of a completed cut for your yard. Do not add the ratings together and describe the mower as having a single 6Ah battery; the included capacities are unequal, separate batteries. Grass length, wetness, bagging, slope and powered drive change practical runtime, and the manual warns against wet mowing.
The page markets a four-in-one system including “Turbo Leaf Pickup.” The manual’s technical table names mulch, rear bag, side discharge and Turbo, while its instructions treat Turbo as a speed mode. Think of mulch, bagging and side discharge as the three physical clipping routes; do not assume the mower vacuums leaves or that every advertised mode represents a distinct attachment. The package listing calls out a high-lift blade, but if a particular blade part or spare set is essential, verify its exact part number and configuration before purchase. With any mode, stop the mower and remove the key and battery before cleaning or handling the cutting equipment.
Why its condition and warranty need special attention
The page’s warranty text is internally inconsistent. Its specification table lists 90-day product and battery warranties, while the marketing/package section elsewhere claims a four-year limited warranty. The final page of the linked manual describes a 90-day warranty and final-sale/no-return policy specifically for renewed or refurbished products, but that statement does not by itself prove what terms govern this open-box listing. The page does not resolve the conflict for SKU 2544502-OB. I would not assume either the shorter or longer term applies without written, package-specific confirmation. This uncertainty is consequential for an expensive mower kit, not a minor formatting detail.
Weight is also not directly comparable: the open-box product specification says 65 pounds but does not say whether batteries are included. For tight storage, measure the machine in its folded form and account for two packs and a charger. The pictured product rendering shows the same green 21-inch self-propelled mower, charger and two visibly different pack sizes; it is manufacturer artwork, not a photograph of the open-box unit you would receive. Open-box packaging can vary even when the seller describes the item as unused.
A reference configuration for a specific buyer
This exact LM2118S bundle can be of interest to someone who wants a self-propelled 21-inch mower and two included 80V packs. It is not a substitute for the push-only LM2118 merely because the model strings look alike, and its open-box condition plus unresolved warranty/return terms materially change the purchase decision. If powered drive, two packs or bagging is essential, verify each exact feature against SKU 2544502 and the delivered carton. If certainty about warranty, return rights or new-in-box condition matters more, look at the standard-condition alternatives and their exact package pages instead. This assessment preserves the open-box configuration for comparison; it does not treat it as a standard current recommendation.
