Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Does the Toro 21327 use Personal Pace control?
No. Its exact manual shows a self-propel drive bar: maximum speed is fixed, and the operator slows travel by opening the gap between bar and handle. Personal Pace is a different Toro control.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the exact 21327 kit include a usable battery and charger?
The exact product page lists one 6.0 Ah/324 Wh battery and one charger; the manual names the included pack 88660 and charger 88610.
Explore this need in the finder →Can the 21327 be set up for bagging or mulching?
Yes. Toro's manual describes its factory-ready Recycler arrangement and grass-bag use. The separately requested discharge chute is not in the box.
Explore this need in the finder →Does Toro establish that a high-lift bagging blade is included?
No separate high-lift blade is established in the exact package sources. Bagging support alone is not proof of a separately included high-lift blade.
Explore this need in the finder →Can Toro's published area figures support an acreage minimum?
Not reliably here: the feature copy says up to 1/2 acre in 52 minutes, while the Yard Size specification lists up to 1/3 acre. No exact-area matcher value is assigned.
Explore this need in the finder →The Toro 21327 is a 21-inch, 60V Recycler walk-behind sold as a working kit: its exact U.S. product page lists one 6.0 Ah battery, one charger, the mower and a 2.0-bushel bag. The model is self-propelled, but its control is not Toro Personal Pace. The manual shows a drive bar that you pull toward the handle; the maximum speed is fixed and you reduce travel speed by changing the gap between bar and handle. That difference matters if you are comparing it with the Personal Pace 21568T or Toro’s 22-inch 21466.
A complete battery package, with realistic limits
The 6.0 Ah L324 pack is a single-battery setup in a one-port mower. Toro’s page lists a 52-minute maximum runtime and a 230-minute charging time; the manual identifies the pack as model 88660, with 324 Wh, and the included charger as model 88610. These are maker specifications, not a promise of how much lawn you will finish. Grass height and density, cut setting, turns, drive speed, battery condition and the pace of the work all change the result. The pack also is not a second battery waiting in the mower, so plan around charging or a separately purchased compatible pack if your routine needs another round.
Do not turn Toro’s acreage copy into a guarantee. The feature text says the mower can cut up to one-half acre in 52 minutes or less on a full charge, while the separate Yard Size specification says up to one-third acre. The statements conflict on the same exact model page. This review therefore does not use either as a hard area match. If your yard is near the limit of one pack, measure the mowable area and consider your grass, obstacles and cut schedule rather than relying on the largest headline.
What the control and deck feel like on paper
This is a rear-wheel-drive machine with a 21-inch swath, a listed 15-gauge steel deck and a 1.25-to-3.75-inch cutting range adjusted at two points. Toro lists a top forward speed of 3.2 mph. The modest width relative to the 22-inch 21466 can be useful when the route is tight, though the published 21-inch cut is not the full machine’s outside dimension. Check the box and folded dimensions against gates, turns and storage space before buying. Toro lists the complete mower at 66 pounds but does not say whether the removable battery is included in that weight, so it is not fair to treat the figure as a confirmed bare-mower weight.
The manual calls the travel mechanism a self-propel drive bar. Pulling it to the handle engages the drive; the maximum speed itself does not change, but allowing more space between bar and handle reduces ground speed. That gives you a way to back off without a separate numbered speed selector. It is materially different from the 21568T’s Personal Pace arrangement, which is designed to keep pace with the operator’s walk. If the precise hand movement is an essential comfort preference, match the control name rather than accepting every self-propel mower as equivalent.
Bag, recycle or arrange discharge
Toro calls the 21327 a Recycler and the manual says it comes from the factory ready to recycle clippings. The exact page lists a 2.0-bushel bag and standard bagging; the manual explains fitting and removing the bag. That gives the owner two useful routine choices without buying a separate bag. The product is also described as a three-way arrangement, but the discharge chute is not in the box. Toro says the chute can be requested during product registration. If side discharge is essential, confirm that part has actually been obtained before treating the mower as ready for that job.
The page lists one rotary blade. Neither that package information nor the manual confirms a distinct high-lift blade in the box, so a buyer who requires a separately named high-lift configuration should not assume ordinary bagging satisfies that need. The exact product page gives a 2-year tool and 3-year battery limited warranty; confirm the written terms and eligibility with Toro for the specific purchase and serial.
Storage and operation require the manual
SmartStow is more than folding the handle and tipping the mower upright. Toro’s 3465-419 operator manual applies to model 21327 from serial 400000000 upward. For vertical storage it says to remove the battery and start button, set the cutting height at 1-3/4 inches or higher, fold the handle while keeping cables outside the handle locks, then move it into storage. The manual warns not to start or transport the mower while vertical. This may help when garage floor space is scarce, but the full maneuver still needs clearance and safe lifting.
The same manual is important for slope and cleaning decisions: do not mow in rain or wet conditions, mow across a slope rather than up and down, and avoid exceedingly steep slopes; Toro does not give a numeric maximum grade. Remove the battery and start button before cleaning or maintenance, and clear clippings and dirt from under the deck after use as directed. The mower is designed for maintained residential lawns, not brush or agricultural cutting.
Who should shortlist it?
Consider the 21327 when a household wants a kit with one 6.0 Ah pack and charger, a 21-inch rear-wheel-drive mower, a hold-to-engage variable drive bar, and bagging plus recycling options. It is less convenient if you need multiple batteries included, a stated verified area per charge, a confirmed low bare-tool weight, or a high-lift blade as a package requirement. If you already own a compatible Toro battery and charger and prefer Personal Pace with a cast-aluminum deck, compare the tool-only 21568T; if you want a wider 22-inch cut and included kit battery, compare the 21466, while keeping its own exact package and area caveats in view.
