Comparison
Toro 21326 kit vs 21326T tool-only mower
Toro's 21326 and 21326T are close enough in name and appearance to create a costly package mistake. Both are 21-inch, 60V Recycler rear-wheel-drive walk-behind mowers with a hold-to-engage drive bar. The suffix is not a feature badge to overlook: it identifies whether a 5.0 Ah battery and charger are included with the mower purchase.
What each exact package contains
The 21326 product page and operator manual identify a kit with one Toro 60V 5.0 Ah/270 Wh battery (model 88650) and charger (model 88610). The 21326T page calls the product battery-not-included; its manual expressly says no battery or charger comes with that model. It still lists the mower, grass bag, bag frame and manual. If you already own the compatible Toro pack and charger, the T package avoids buying another. If you do not, budget for compatible power equipment when comparing the tool-only model with the kit.
Do not transfer kit runtime to a bare tool
The 21326 package page lists up to 43 minutes from its included pack and a 230-minute charge time. It also includes a one-third-acre yard-size estimate. The page's feature text instead says up to one-third acre in 42 minutes or less, so the runtime wording is not perfectly consistent even for the kit. Treat each number as Toro's qualified claim, not as a promise of your actual mow. On 21326T, the official specification table marks runtime and battery as not included; a copied kit figure would hide the fact that your chosen pack and yard conditions change the result.
Shared mower details and a real control distinction
The two model codes share the documented 21-inch, 15-gauge steel deck, 1.25-to-3.75-inch cut range, 2.0-bushel grass bag, single rotary blade and SmartStow folding handle. Toro's manual calls the drive a self-propel bar: hold it to engage, and increase the hand gap to slow down from its fixed maximum speed. It is not Toro Personal Pace. The manual says the mower comes ready to recycle clippings; bagging uses the included bag. Side discharge requires a separate chute that Toro says can be requested after registration.
Which model fits your situation?
- Compare 21326 when you need a 5 Ah battery and charger in the exact mower package and want Toro's stated kit runtime/charge figures for planning.
- Compare 21326T when you already own a compatible Toro 60V battery and charger and do not need another set in the box.
- Look beyond both if you require a different self-propel control, multiple battery ports, a larger documented pack in the included kit, an included side-discharge chute, or a numeric slope rating. Neither similar body art nor the word “self-propel” answers those needs.
Read the detailed 21326 kit review and 21326T tool-only review before selecting a retailer listing. The exact model on the page and carton should match the package you intend to buy.
