Three RYOBI 18V mower routes: P11100, P1190 and PCLST05

These three codes all sit in the RYOBI 18V ONE+ orbit, but they do not describe three interchangeable mower bodies. Choose by the kind of cut, travel drive and battery plan you need—not by voltage label alone.

P11100: a 20-inch self-propelled conventional mower

P11100 is the largest and most mower-like of this trio: a 20-inch self-propelled, rear-wheel-drive machine with a dual-blade CROSS CUT deck and documented bagging, mulching and side-discharge setups. The exact kit includes the P11010 mower body, four 4Ah PBP005 packs and a P117 charger. Its manual says two charged packs must be installed to operate; the other packs are not additional simultaneous battery ports. RYOBI’s up-to-45-minute and up-to-one-third-acre figures are manufacturer estimates based on the included four-pack supply, not measured guarantees. The operator manual’s 15-degree slope ceiling, dry-cleaning guidance and warning against wet-grass mowing matter more to use than an unqualified runtime claim.

P1190: a narrower push mower package

P1190 is the simpler 16-inch push configuration. Its P1109 mower body uses one conventional rotary blade and supports mulching and rear bagging, not a documented side-discharge setup. The exact kit lists two 4Ah 18V ONE+ packs and one charger, while the mower body has one active battery port. This package may suit someone who prefers an operator-pushed machine or a narrower deck for divided lawn sections. It lacks P11100’s self-propelled rear drive and dual-blade deck. The P1190 product listing has a charger-model conflict (its itemized list and descriptive copy name different charger codes), so verify the charger SKU if that matters to your kit decision.

PCLST05K: the compact line-cutting hybrid

PCLST05K takes a different path: it combines a line trimmer, edger and detachable wheeled 12-inch mower deck. In mower mode, the documented cutter is trimmer line beneath the deck, not a conventional rotary mower blade. The exact package lists one 4Ah 18V pack and a charger without a resolved charger model. The official pages do not establish a catcher, mulching plug or side-discharge arrangement, so do not treat its “3-in-1” name as three mower clipping modes. It can be an interesting compact-yard or edging-oriented tool, but its function and fit are not equivalent to the P11100 or P1190. The exact PCLST05 operator manual was not available through the linked lookup inspected here, so consult the correct manual before use rather than borrowing slope or cleaning limits from a different RYOBI model.

Choose the package around the yard and the work

Start with the job. If you need self-propelled movement, a 20-inch conventional deck and all three clipping routes, P11100 is the only one of these three that fits. If a 16-inch push mower is sufficient and you mainly use mulch or bag, P1190 is the more compact ordinary mower. If a line-trimmer/edger tool with a small detachable cutting deck is the actual goal, evaluate PCLST05K as a hybrid tool rather than as a standard lawn mower.

Then check the battery logistics. P11100 needs two active 18V batteries and includes four 4Ah packs; P1190 uses one active pack and includes two 4Ah packs; PCLST05K lists one included 4Ah pack and one active port. These counts answer different questions: how many packs ship in the carton is not the same as how many are installed to run the mower. None of the manufacturer maximum-runtime figures tells you how quickly a complicated, damp or overgrown lawn will drain the batteries. If you have an 18V ONE+ collection, confirm the exact battery model and condition, but do not treat 18V packs as compatible with RYOBI’s separate 40V equipment.

Finally, choose the maintenance routine you can follow. The P11100’s body manual gives a particularly clear rule: remove the start key and battery packs before cleaning, never hose the machine and store it indoors and dry. The P1190 uses a different mower body and manual; check its own slope and care instructions. PCLST05K’s missing manual bridge means its operating limits should remain unknown until the exact document is found. A small deck, an included battery set or a maker acreage estimate cannot replace checking the manual and route constraints for the exact configuration.
