RYOBI PBLLM05K2 vs P11100: two 20-inch 18V mowers

PBLLM05K2 and P11100 are both 20-inch, rear-wheel self-propelled RYOBI 18V kits with three documented clipping setups. Their important difference is the cutting system and the exact pack in the carton—not the width printed in a headline.

One conventional blade or the dual-blade CROSS CUT system?

The PBLLM05K2 kit is built around the PBLLM05 body. Its operator manual identifies one conventional cutting blade. The P11100 kit is built around the P11010 body, whose manual documents the dual-blade CROSS CUT arrangement. That is a real hardware difference, not evidence that either mower cuts better on every lawn. There is no independent side-by-side cutting test here, so do not turn RYOBI's product comparisons into a measured performance ranking.

For either model, the exact manual supports mulching, bagging and side discharge. If side discharge matters, these are ordinary mower setups: the PBLLM05 manual specifies its included chute with the mulch plug installed, and the P11010 manual has its own arrangement instructions. They are not the 12-inch line-cutting PCLST05 hybrid, and “mulching” should not be treated as a separate leaf-shredding mode.

Two included battery packs versus four

The PBLLM05K2 U.S. package lists two 18V 6Ah batteries and two 18V chargers, but does not identify their item codes or publish a kit recharge time. Its mower needs both active battery positions occupied and stops when one installed pack is depleted; the manual's separate storage compartment is not a third powered port. The P11100 carton lists four PBP005 18V 4Ah packs and one P117 charger. Its P11010 manual still requires two packs installed for operation, so four included packs do not mean four simultaneously powered ports.

RYOBI associates the PBLLM05K2 with up to 40 minutes and a half-acre-or-less yard, while the P11100 listing gives up to 45 minutes and up to one-third acre. Both are conditional manufacturer estimates, not guarantees or comparative test results. Yard shape, grass height and moisture, pace, slope, turns and clipping route all affect the actual work. If your routine depends on exact charging time or exact pack compatibility, the PBLLM05K2 U.S. page leaves charger and battery model codes unresolved; the P11100 listing names its pack and charger codes.

Choose by the required setup

Both are 20-inch rear-wheel self-propelled walk-behinds, but the drive controls and safe-use directions should be taken from each body's own manual. PBLLM05K2 suits a buyer who wants two included 6Ah packs, two listed chargers, a single-blade conventional deck and the PBLLM05 manual's documented setup. P11100 is the package to compare if the dual-blade CROSS CUT system and four included 4Ah packs are priorities. Neither included pack count tells you how many packs are actively installed at once, and neither maximum-runtime statement predicts your particular yard.

Before choosing, measure the path to storage, read the exact body manual for slope and cleanup rules, and confirm that the battery logistics fit your routine. See the full PBLLM05K2 assessment and P11100 assessment for package and operating details. This comparison is based on the exact U.S. product pages and their respective body manuals, not hands-on testing.
