Three-way comparison
EGO 21-inch Select Cut walk-behind package choices
Same nominal width, different way to move
The EGO LM2135 is the push model in this comparison. The LM2135SP adds Touch Drive self-propelled movement, while the LM2156SP keeps a 21-inch deck and combines self-propelled drive with the Select Cut XP package. A self-propelled system can help on repeated walks, but still requires the operator to steer and manage the mower.
LM2130, LM2133 and LM2130SP change the contents and the walking arrangement
The same 21-inch Select Cut family has two push choices and one powered-walk option that are easy to confuse by name. LM2130 is push-only and arrives tool-only, with neither a battery nor charger. LM2133 remains push-only but EGO lists one 5.0 Ah battery and Rapid Charger in that exact kit. LM2130SP adds Touch Drive self-propelled movement, yet its exact row is tool-only too; assistance with walking does not make it ready to run without compatible battery equipment. If you own compatible EGO batteries and charger, compare the two tool-only configurations by whether you need powered travel. If you need a complete package, LM2133 is the push kit; the 7.5 Ah LM2135 kit is a separate choice.
Do not assign the page's up-to-65-minute figure to LM2133: that claim is tied to a recommended 7.5 Ah battery, not its included 5.0 Ah pack. EGO's earlier US catalog and the linked LM2130 manual give pack- and load-dependent runtime information, not a promised area per charge. The exact LM2130/LM2133 page lists mulching, extended-runtime and upper blades; it does not settle high-lift lower-blade inclusion for those cartons. If that blade is essential, treat inclusion as unknown rather than borrowing the neighboring LM2135 kit list. The product page showed these rows as Coming Soon on October 23, 2026; this guide does not promise current stock.

The included battery changes the package
The reviewed LM2135 and LM2135SP kits include a 7.5 Ah battery and charger; the LM2156SP kit includes a 10.0 Ah battery and 700 W charger. The manufacturer's stated maximum runtime is up to 65 minutes for the push LM2135, 60 minutes for the LM2135SP and 75 minutes for the LM2156SP. These figures are not promises of the area a household can finish. Grass and operating conditions matter.
Blade description needs an exact-kit check
The LM2156SP page clearly lists the mulching, high-lift bagging and extended-runtime lower blades plus the upper blade as included. The LM2135SP page also lists those blades. On the LM2135 push page, the descriptive cutting-system text explains three lower-blade choices, but its technical included-blade line names the mulching and extended-runtime blades plus the upper blade and does not mention the high-lift bagging lower blade. If receiving that particular blade is essential, verify the carton contents rather than assuming it is included.
Choose by the constraint that matters
Choose the LM2135 when pushing a 21-inch deck is acceptable and a 7.5 Ah kit is enough to consider. Choose the LM2135SP when powered walking pace is an essential feature. Choose the LM2156SP when you specifically want the 10 Ah included kit and XP blade system in this family. For wider coverage per pass, none of these 21-inch decks meets a 22-inch minimum; compare a different mower family instead.
All three pages describe mulching, bagging and side discharge. Compare the included hardware, cutting route and owner's instructions for your own grass and access before ordering.

Compare the one- and two-battery XP packages
LM2156SP and LM2156SP-2 share the 21-inch Select Cut XP Touch Drive platform, but they are not the same kit. EGO's exact configuration rows list one 10.0 Ah battery for LM2156SP and two 10.0 Ah batteries for LM2156SP-2; both list the 700 W charger. LM2150SP is the tool-only option. The manufacturer's runtime claim is up to 75 minutes with one recommended 10 Ah battery. The two-pack SKU does not come with a stated combined-runtime or area figure, so do not turn pack count into a doubled mowing promise. If you already own compatible batteries, compare what is included before paying for another kit.
Let the route decide whether 21 inches is enough
The XP package does not widen the deck. Measure the narrowest gate, the turns around beds, and the folded storage route. If a 22-inch minimum is essential, this 21-inch family does not meet it; compare EGO's LM2236SP or another documented wider deck instead. If the job specifically needs a hand-guided mower with Touch Drive rather than a rider, however, the 21-inch format may be a more natural constraint than adding width. Consider trimming and bag-emptying access as part of the same route.
Keep the identity trail intact
The shared operator manual linked from the LM2156SP product page names related 800-series codes on its cover, rather than the exact LM2156SP or LM2156SP-2 package code. Use its guidance cautiously and confirm the exact instructions and parts identity for the mower you receive. The manufacturer page listed these configuration rows as coming soon on the review date; this guide makes no claim about current retail stock. Check the exact suffix, two-pack contents and charger in the seller's offer. Read the separate LM2156SP-2 assessment before deciding whether the second pack belongs in your kit.
LM2150SP is the named mower-only code
LM2150SP changes what arrives, not what the mower does: EGO lists neither battery nor charger in that configuration. This is useful only if you have verified that the battery and charger you will use are on the mower manual's compatible list. The manual cover and specification table name LM2150SP directly, unlike the linked manual mismatch for the LM2156SP kit codes. Its recommended 10 Ah / up-to-75-minute claim therefore describes operation with a separate compatible battery, not an included kit. A one-pack minimum in a shortlist should exclude LM2150SP; a buyer who already owns the required power equipment can compare its tool-only offer with the LM2156SP kit instead. Read the exact LM2150SP assessment and check the complete SKU before ordering.
The 800-series Touch Drive two-pack is a different decision
LM2134SP-2 is listed with two 6.0 Ah batteries and a Rapid Charger, while LM2132SP-2 is listed with two 4.0 Ah batteries and the same charger type. Both remain the 21-inch Select Cut Touch Drive mower, but neither package should inherit a runtime number by adding the battery capacities together. EGO lists up to 60 minutes with a recommended single 7.5 Ah pack for this mower family and does not publish an LM2134SP-2 combined runtime or area figure. Choose the two-pack only if the second supplied battery is useful to your charging and mowing routine; choose LM2130SP if you already have verified compatible packs and charger. Read the exact LM2134SP-2 assessment.
Two smaller packs or two larger ones?
The exact package suffix matters even when the mower deck is the same. EGO lists LM2132SP-2 with two 4.0 Ah packs and LM2134SP-2 with two 6.0 Ah packs; both list a Rapid Charger. Neither should be judged by adding its battery labels into a single-pack runtime or area promise. The shared mower page says up to 60 minutes with a recommended single 7.5 Ah battery, and does not state a combined runtime for either two-pack configuration. Choose the 4 Ah kit only when that per-pack capacity fits your routine; if 6 Ah per pack is essential, LM2134SP-2 is the more relevant exact package. Read the LM2132SP-2 assessment.
